Secluded Carp Lake is the largest inland lake in Hualien. It lies beside Carp Hill and clings to eternal surrounding. Under the care of clouds, water gushes up from the centre of the lake, which always remains clear and vital and struggles like a carp wagging its tail. During the annual Dragon Boat Festival, Dragon Boat teams stir the lake. When the enthusiastic cheering pauses, the buttressed highlight of fireflies decorates the evenings at Carp Lake, championing a beauty that claims no waves, a lake with stars. When you visit the lake, select a colorful boat of your choice, and allow it to take you on a scenic tour. Enjoy the scenery along the lakeside as you pass along gently, making waves that spread out across the surface of the lake. Look down at the water and perhaps see the vibrant caudal fin of a carp, it will be the most unique scenery.
